Grand Value Pharmacy was founded in 1993 by Kevin White, a Detroit-born pharmacist with a deep commitment to community-focused care. After graduating from Wayne State University’s College of Pharmacy, Kevin set out to create a space that offered more than just prescription services. He envisioned a pharmacy where people could receive reliable guidance, fair pricing, and the personal attention often missing from big-box chains.

Located on Grand River Avenue, in the heart of Detroit’s westside, the pharmacy quickly became a trusted stop for families in the area. Built on the values of honesty, accessibility, and consistency, Grand Value earned a reputation for doing things the right way, whether that meant taking the time to explain medications, keeping essential household items in stock, or simply knowing customers by name.

As the needs of the community grew, so did the services we provide. From prescription management and diabetic care to over-the-counter essentials and durable medical equipment, Grand Value Pharmacy has continued to evolve without losing its neighborhood identity.
